APPS SPECIAL ISSUE CALL FOR PAPERS: 
"Meeting the Challenge of Exceptional Plant Conservation: Technologies and Approaches"

The goal of this APPS special issue is to provide an overview of the current methods and challenges in applying seed biology, in vitro methods, and cryobiotechnologies to meet the needs of the ex situ conservation of exceptional species (plant species that cannot be conserved by conventional seedbanking).

SPECIAL ISSUE CALL FOR PAPERS: 
"Approaches to the Study of Quantitative Fitness-Related Traits"

A primary goal of the AJB special issue is to highlight the potential for the study of pedigreed and randomly sampled populations to detect the potential for selection to cause evolutionary change in quantitative functional traits and in mean individual fitness. For APPS, the goal is to highlight newly developed, innovative tools and protocols used in the study of quantitative traits.

APPS SPECIAL ISSUE CALL FOR PAPERS: 
"Advances, Applications, and Prospects in Aquatic Botany"

The goal of this APPS special issue is to provide an overview of the current methods and challenges in investigating both marine and freshwater systems. Manuscripts should highlight novel methodologies (and their application within the context of a larger study), software, genomic or ecological resources, or reviews.
