Professional Members Travel Awards

The Botanical Society of America is pleased to give several travel awards in the amount of $500 each to the BOTANY 2026 conference August 1-5, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. This award aims to increase attendance of scientists who lack grant or institutional support for travel to the annual BSA meeting as well as to increase diversity among the annual meeting attendees.

Postdocs, faculty and professionals in the field who lack funding or a travel budget to attend scientific conferences/professional development opportunities are strongly encouraged to apply. U.S. Residency is not a requirement to apply.

You must have a current BSA membership in order to apply. Applicants also must contribute an oral presentation or poster during the conference.

This award will open for applications again in early 2026.
