The Botanical Society of America is pleased to give 10 travel awards in the amount of $500 each to the BOTANY 2024 - Resilience in a Changing World conference in Grand Rapid, Michigan June 15-29. This award aims to increase attendance of scientists who lack grant or institutional support for travel to the annual BSA meeting as well as to increase diversity among the annual meeting attendees.

Postdocs, faculty and professionals in the field who lack funding or a travel budget to attend scientific conferences/professional development opportunities are strongly encouraged to apply. U.S. Residency is not a requirement to apply.

You must have a current BSA membership in order to apply. Applicants also must contribute an oral presentation or poster during the conference. 

APPLICATIONS:
In the award submission you will be required to provide your name, institutional affiliation, address and email, title of your abstract, a link to your submitted abstract and one-two paragraph statement about why attending BOTANY 2024 is important to you and your career in the botanical sciences as well as a paragraph expressing your financial need. Applicants will also submit a current resume or CV. Please submit your application all in one PDF file.
