The PLANT EDUCATION, TEACHING & OUTREACH page operates as a tool for sharing many forms of information, and hopefully as a valuable resource for educators. It is important to note that the primary objectives of the Botanical Society are to: "sustain and provide improved formal and informal education about plants; encourage basic plant research; provide expertise, direction, and position statements concerning plants and ecosystems; and foster communication within the professional botanical community, and between botanists and the rest of humankind through publications, meetings, and committees." With this in mind, we will focus on projects and linking with appropriate groups dedicated to the educational aspects of our objectives.
